Annual Meetings

Board of Directors

Annual Meetings

The Members gather on an annual basis for one week, during which period a series of meetings of committees and working groups progress the work of IPC. These annual meetings are held in a different economy each year in order that the Members each have an opportunity to host a meeting and to showcase IPC to the local stakeholders. A number of plenary meetings are held during that week, and they culminate in the Annual General Meeting for the purpose of approving policies and requirements, approving the budget, and appointing the Board of Directors. Decisions that have to be made by the Members in between Annual General Meetings are normally made by letter ballot.

Board of Directors

The Members elect up to twelve delegates to the Board of Directors. The Board is responsible to implement the business plan; appoint the Secretariat, relevant committees, and working groups; and manages the business and legal affairs of IPC. The Board meets as required to progress the work of IPC. Directors undertake this work for IPC on a voluntary basis with the support of their member orgnaisation.
